1. Check for a Local NBN Outage
The issue: Sometimes the problem isn’t in your home it’s the network itself.
The fix:
- Visit nbnco.com.au and check your address.
- Or use sites like Downdetector to see if others in Ballarat are reporting issues.
If there’s an outage, your provider won’t be able to help until NBN resolves it.
2. Power Cycle Your Modem & Router
The issue: Your modem may need a fresh start.
The fix:
- Turn off the modem and router (if separate).
- Unplug for 60 seconds.
- Plug them back in and wait for all lights to stabilize.
